Helpful answers

Document scanning questions

Will my scanned documents be searchable?

OCR can make machine-printed text searchable in a PDF. We confirm OCR and indexing in your project scope; handwriting, image quality, and document condition can affect text recognition.

How is document scanning priced?

Our banker’s box scanning option uses flat-rate pricing for standard document boxes. We confirm what is included and identify specialty materials or requirements in a clear estimate before work begins.

What happens to my original documents?

You choose the next step for your originals. Return, storage, or secure shredding can be discussed during planning. Destruction requires your authorization and should follow your retention requirements.

Can you scan medical or legal records?

Yes. We discuss sensitive-record handling, access restrictions, indexing, and delivery requirements before the project starts. Tell us about any contractual or regulatory requirements that apply to your records.
